Dear Families,
It may have been a short week, but we packed it full of lots of excitement, learning, and fun at VWES! It was wonderful to welcome our Wolves back after Fall Break and see everyone jump right back into their routines.
The pumpkins that have been coming in look fantastic! We have loved seeing all of the creativity and effort our students and families have put into them. Thank you for helping make our campus feel extra festive this fall!
We also want to send a BIG thank you to all of our families who have submitted Staff Shout-Outs! Your kind words and encouragement mean so much. We are currently working on getting those shout-outs to our staff members so they can see just how appreciated they are. Thank you for taking the time to recognize the amazing people who pour so much into our students each and every day!
Mark Your Calendars!
Our Trick-or-Treat & Movie Night is coming up next Thursday, October 22! We are looking forward to a fun evening together and hope to see many of our VWES families there
.
Attendance Matters!
Our attendance dropped slightly this week, but we are confident that with our continued partnership, we can bring it right back up! Every day at school matters, and every day gives our students another opportunity to learn, grow, and connect. Thank you for continuing to help us get our Wolves to school each day and on time.
Safety week!
Next week, we will be conducting Safety Week at VWES. Throughout the week, our students and staff will practice our different safety drills so everyone knows what to do in the event of an emergency.
We have attached a flyer outlining the drills we will be practicing each day so families know what to expect. Please remember that these are only drills. Before each drill, we remind our students that we are practicing and that there is no emergency.
Practicing these procedures helps our students and staff feel prepared and confident while allowing us to review our campus safety procedures. Our goal is always to make these practices as calm, age appropriate, and reassuring as possible for our Wolves.
As always, thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and partnership. We are so grateful to have families who help make VWES such a special place for our students and staff. We are looking forward to another great week ahead!
Many Stars, One Bright Galaxy!
Warm regards,
Lauren Sanders
